The Airborne Wind Energy Group of ETH Zurich is part of the Automatic Control Laboratory (IfA) of the Electrical Engineering Department. Initiated in 2010 through the work of doctoral researcher Aldo Zgraggen Their theoretical work is focused on the modeling, simulation and analysis of deterministic and stochastic hybrid systems. Among the application areas are aircraft management, biological systems, power electronics, mechatronics and vehicle assistance systems.
